Sustainability in Action

We have established sustainability as one of our four core pillars firm wide and embarked on several sustainability initiatives.

  • In the second half of 2023, UOBAM colleagues from around the region (Brunei, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam) organised a food donation campaign to raise money and participate in a food drive.
  • The campaign was held as part of UOBAM's commitment to sustainability via Corporate Sustainability Stewardship and to support a local charity organisation of the country’s choice.
  • UOBAM provided more than 980 food packages and over 1,000 hot meals for the less fortunate regionally.
  • In addition to the food donation initiative, UOBAM also participated in the 2023 UOB Global Heartbeat Run/Walk to #keepthegoodgoing by clocking distances to raise funds for charity.

  • In the first half of 2023, UOBAM colleagues from around the region (Brunei, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam) held tree-planting events and activities.
  • Each regional team partnered with a local charity organisation or governmental body to do our part for the environment by raising funds and planting over 1,000 trees.
  • This initiative was carried out as part of our commitment to sustainability. Taking action to combat climate change is one of the six United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) that we support for our Corporate Sustainability Stewardship.
  • In addition to the food donation initiative, UOBAM also participated in the 2023 UOB Global Heartbeat Run/Walk to #keepthegoodgoing by clocking distances to raise funds for charity.

  • The campaign was held as part of UOBAM's commitment to sustainability via Corporate Sustainability Stewardship and to support a local charity organisation of the country’s choice.
  • UOBAM provided a total of 800 food packages and 2,800 hot meals for the less fortunate regionally.
  • In addition to the food donation initiative, UOBAM also participated in the 2022 UOB Global Heartbeat Run/Walk to #keepthegoodgoing by clocking distances to raise funds for charity.

  • In September 2021, UOBAM Singapore kicked off its internal donation drive campaign, raising money to help aid an IPC-Status food charity, Food from the Heart “Project Belanja!”
  • The campaign was held in support of Food from the Heart’s “Project Belanja!”, an app-driven food redemption programme providing freshly cooked meals by hawker owners to those in need.
  • Food from the Heart and “Project Belanja!” have been playing a very meaningful role in supporting less-fortunate families and their future generations while preserving the long-term development of Singapore’s hawker culture
  • UOBAM Singapore raised a total of S$10,000 (an equivalent of 2,500 hot meals) that was donated to households in need.
